About our privacy policy

MKB Security B.V. cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need to improve our services and we handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never provide your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered by MKB Security B.V. The effective date of these terms is 05/03/2018. The publication of a new version renders all previous versions invalid. This privacy policy describes the data we collect about you, how we use it, and under what conditions we may share it with third parties. We also explain how we store and protect your data from misuse, and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide us.

Webshop software

WordPress

Our website was developed with software from WordPress. We have chosen TransIP as our web hosting provider. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. TransIP has access to your data in order to provide us with technical support, but they will never use your data for another purpose. Based on our agreement with TransIP, they are obliged to take appropriate security measures, which include SSL encryption, a strong password policy, and two-factor authentication. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.

WooCommerce

Our webshop was developed with software from WooCommerce, and we host it on our own server. We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss, and corruption of data as much as possible. These security measures include SSL encryption, a strong password policy, and two-factor authentication. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.

Webhosting

TransIP

We use web hosting and email services from TransIP. TransIP processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services, which is not personal data. TransIP has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the unauthorized use and loss of your personal data. Based on our agreement, TransIP is required to maintain confidentiality.

Email and mailing lists

Our website uses WordPress, a third-party service that handles email traffic originating from our website and the sending of any newsletters. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent through TransIP’s servers. TransIP will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of each email sent automatically through our website, you will find an “unsubscribe” link. If you click on this link, you will no longer receive emails from our website. However, this can seriously affect the functionality of our website! Your personal data is stored securely by TransIP. WordPress uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. Payment processors

Mollie

For handling a (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence details, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, for this purpose, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not keep your data longer than permitted by law.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to execute the deliveries. Therefore, it is necessary that we share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL only uses this information to execute the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also provides your data to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

AccountView

For keeping track of our administration and bookkeeping, we use the services of AccountView. We share your name, address, and residence details, as well as details regarding your order. This data is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored securely. AccountView is obliged to maintain confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. AccountView does not use your personal data for any purposes other than those described above.

External Sales Channels

Bol.com

We sell (part of) our products through the Bol.com platform. If you place an order through this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this information to process your order. We handle your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of Data Processing

General Purpose of Processing

We only use your data for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing purposes. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will ask for an explicit permission. Retention periods

We will keep your data for as long as you are a client. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your assignment.
